Just some thinking. It's always been noted that most Spartans feel as if MJLOLNIR armour is a second skin since they're used to practically living in it. As MC once thought or coined it akin to, it was like being naked without it.

Think it would ever be interesting to play as MC in a point of vulnerability like that? A portion of a game where MC is stripped of his armour and has to resort to good old fashioned stealth tactics and melee in light of being weaponless?

I figure it'd be interesting from two perspectives, both MC's and the players, since we too, are used to roaming around in a near bullet proof suit of armour. No HUD to guide us along or display our condition, a much less bulletproof state and so on.

Any pipe dreams you folks have for Halo gameplay?

Sure, but more than anything I want to see his face. It felt awkward in Forward Unto Dawn and Escalation where Blue Team had their helmets off and he's just standing there with it on.

Halo 3 ODST was a game.

I'd like to see a game either set while the covenant were still forming or set from the Sangheili's point of view during the rebellion.

I was about to point that out. Even without his armour, he's still friggin' strong.

I'd hate to say it but Chief would be nothing without his armor. All the marines and ODSTs he killed in basic training was thanks to that armor.

Actually, during recovery from his Augmentations, he got into a fight with 4 ODST's without his armor, and ended up killing 3 of them and badly injuring the 4th.

That being said, I doubt he'd be able to go hand to hand with an Elite without Power Armor. The whole point of this thread is the gameplay changes that would arise from such vulnerabilities. I don't think it needs to be said how much difficulty he'd be in, facing hostile Covenant forces without MJOLNIR.

Ah, my mistake then. As for the gameplay, no shields and radar along with all the other HUD elements gone. Only health would be my guess.
