Phil Spencer is the reason I switched to Xbox. He single-handedly took the "Gamer's First" platform away from Sony this generation. A complete 180° from the console's debut.

It's not that I think Nintendo games will come to Xbox, but the fact that he openly admits and welcomes their appearance on his console that I think is so telling. And other things, too. Like wanting Banjo-Kazooie to make an appearance in Smash Brothers, or basically erasing the virtual lines between Microsoft consoles and PCs, in terms of connectivity and exclusivity. Or fucking backwards compatibility -- a feature that really hasn't been seen in basically 2 console generations.

All of these things would logically take money away from Microsoft and their partners but they empower the gaming consumer and put their satisfaction first.

Meanwhile, Playstation Plus continues to disappoint. And now, at a higher price.
