No, but if you were to accidentally brush up against it and be unlucky enough to cause some static electricity,  then say goodbye to your computer, and if you were to accidentally brush up against it while it is on, you could potentially electrocute yourself. There's a reason these things are kept in cases.

That's why it's on the wall in front of your desk and not in your doorway.

Plus the risk of electric shock is pretty low mang.
