Owning 2 current gen consoles?

I already have a ps4, and a PC that fulfills all my PC wants (minecraft and shitty Korean MMO's)

I much prefer consoles for reasons I won't get into right now, but do you guys think it's wort it to own both an Xbox one and PS4? I have good friends on each and like the exclusives of each about equally. Paying for ps+ and Xbox live wouldn't really be a problem.

Does anyone own a ps4 and Xbox one and doesn't regret it? Would i recommend I shoot for getting both?

I have two friends who own both and both of them believe that having both right now is a waste because there isn't much available for both of the consoles. I'd say get one and then later on get the other.

Went with PS4 and Wii U myself.
Wii U for exclusives. PS4 for exclusives and multiplats.

If you think the exclusives for each are worth it and don't mind the PS+/XboxLIve combo I don't see reason not to go for it. People did it all last gen. Though Latsu has a point on waiting for more games. The consoles will only get cheaper.

Yeah. I'm getting an Xbone in a few weeks for MCC, and I owned both a PS3 and 360 last generation. No regrets at all.

I am concerned for the PlayStation 4 due to Sony Entertainment's condition. What might be a letdown for the dedicated PlayStation users is the risk that Sony might sink down the road. This new generation of consoles will have a lifespan of at least five years, and an extended one up to ten.

If someone purchases a PlayStation 4 during the holiday of 2014, and within the next two years Sony flops its entertainment division then those dedicated gamers will left dead in the water. Not necessarily meaning that new releases won't occur, or support will be instantly dropped, but the issue is the uncertain stagnation that might occur.

On the other hand, Microsoft with the Xbox One has been trying to establish things since last year's E3 conference. They switched their focus to fix the burned bridges that Sony took an advantage of at the time. This might not necessarily mean anything, but when it comes to such direct competition and that Microsoft has successfully been capturing a slice of the Japanese market share is a strong sign.

Of course, it doesn't mean that since Microsoft is successful today it will also be tomorrow, but the same can be also said for Sony itself which actually is in a worrisome state.

Wow, that sounds pretty bad. I was thinking of getting PS4 as Xbone hadn't really caught me with anything amazing, but at this rate it's probably safer to get a PC after my studies. That's the only time I'll have enough of to make use of it, and have money to invest in one. If Sony's collapsed in 3 years time, PS4 will unfortunately go down with and that'll just allow MS to monopolize the market further. (Face it, the Wii U is decent, but it's not exactly a dedicated/hardcore gamer's target console).

Still don't get all the Sony doom and gloom. Kaz seems like he's taking the right steps to slowly turn things around. They already sold off PC's and still have TVs/movies/music/phones/cameras to work with or sell if need be. Worse comes to worst they can spin off Playstation into a separate company, but I'm doubtful the japanese govt. would let them fail.

Playstation is their most profitable division, and PS4 has a +10mil user base already, I don't see it suddenly stop being supported anytime soon.

Implying PS Fanboys are going to go and buy and Etsbax one seriously why would they talk shit just to go and buy and Etsbax later? Theirs more chances of them buying a Wii U or building themselves a PC

Most of those who talk shite are pre-teens, so I'd hardly take their word as fact. And seeing as the know little about computers ("what's a CPU and why should I give a shit about GHz?") yet would know a lot about the Xbone judging by all the comparison wars they have, I'm sure many would just silently move over into the Xbone camp and bash the Wii-tendo.

It would leave the Xbone as the go-to console (now more able to do whatever they want as there's hardly any competition) with the Wii-tendo being a family/more casual thing, targeting families, old people and Elton Johns.

I got the bone and ps4, plus a gaming PC. I don't really regret it. I knew I was going to get both eventually (plus, I got the bone for future game development), and now I can enjoy both sets of exclusives.

Plus, it's funny how much owning both major consoles pisses fanboys off.

That's exactly what I did. I'm going to get rid of my PS4 though because it's really boring.

That's exactly what I did. I'm going to get rid of my PS4 though because it's really boring.

Been using ps4 more than wii u so far. Though I've been using 3ds and vita more than either.
Next year is gonna break my wallet with all teh games.
