I had virtually no interest in the game, but now that everyone's playing it, I kinda feel bad.

If anything its a fun experience with friends, you may find yourself annoyed at it if you play alone.

i wasnt that into it in the beta but now i really want to play it again. it scratched the multiplayer itch. god knows CoD cant do it anymore.
sheeeeit. i think ill hold out for a few more months to see if it dies or if E3 has something more tempting.

this probably isn't a bad plan. Within the next few months there should be a few more champs, the ranked system will be out, and in a few months we should know if the game will last or if it'll be the next titanfall

Since it is going in a similar way of TF2(in the business strategy sense) this game will last. The only thing that I can see becoming a problem is the progression. Since in TF2 there is a billion different things you can do per class, each taking practice and time to learn. Which is why there is people with 4000+ hours. Overwatch is more limited in that sense but with 21 heroes, more incoming for free and many different wacky things you can do it can get some people 1000+ hours.

people go crazy over ranked ladders. If OW has a clean ranking system and season rewards, people will definitely stick around.

That's true, and actually TF2 has started using it's own competitive system that is in beta last I knew. Probably to keep people interested since Overwatch and a couple other "hero" shooters have appeared.
