I'm kinda torn. Conceptually and looking at the game stats it's really interesting but I don't usually have a lot of fun playing it.

I haven't had this much fun with an FPS in while and I haven't even played with my friends yet because they didnt have early access like I did.

Earlier today I was playing as Reaper and I killed the entire enemy team with his ultimate 2 seconds before they could capture their payload and got play of the game with that. I felt like a total badass.

Some of the best times I've had with this game is just pure silliness

My friends and I played a game as nothing but Soldier 76, and won

And then I joined a bunch of randoms and we all picked Tracer, and won that game

This game is a lot of fun

I enjoy the game and it's definitely fun if you like arena shooters but it's like CoD tier repetitive (at least cod has several game modes to choose from) so I'm not sure how much staying power it has. There's no sense of progression or anything so I don't know how long I would actually play it.

Since when do multiplayer games need progression to be fun or have lasting value? Look how many people play Counter Strike still. Even more play Counter Strike: GO, yeah, you can unlock cosmetics, and play ranked games. But you get what I mean.

All of the unlocks and progression is purely cosmetic(except unlocking competitive)

So in a way it's similar, just more rewarding in the end since you get a loot box per level.

Considering the base game is $40 (origins edition is a scam) I think there's enough content. Lots of characters, decent map count, a little lacking in gamemodes, not bad imo, especially considering all future content will be free.

Game is really good.
