So as a joke I said that I could write a better story for Destiny in a month then what Bungie made in 6 years. Now I'm actually writing one. I've never done this type of thing before and I'm most likely going to release it on here first for your ever seeing eyes. So any particular part of the universe you want a story about? So far I'm thinking about making start before The Traveller shows up and then until the collapse and I'm also hoping to make some people cry. Also anyone got a good name? I've got something like Destiny: Legacy but I think that sounds stupid so please suggestions.

Please don't do a story on the Collapse.

That sounds terribly cliche'd.

Just make up a Guardian and follow his story. You can still explain things about the Collapse through legends and such.

Please include characters like The Crow and try some of the original plot points if you can to shove it in Bungie's collective stupid face.

Destiny: The Money Maker

I've been doing a lot of reading in the Destiny Grimoire at this point. I'm going to try to incorporate many different things from the lore whilst also giving it my own spin on things. I've been thinking I might do a bit of a back story on the ghosts which in turn will lead into the events of the game. Of course as you guys have been saying anything with 2 pages of text on it is far more story then anything the game offered. I will update when anything new comes up.

6 chapters, 50k+ words. thats impressive for FF. all of the summaries are corny though. what i meant was that there are only 4 stories with 20k+ words. if you do put the time in you'll be noticed pretty fast.

It's a story about a random guy and begins before the arrival of The Traveler to a bit after The Collapse.
I decided to make it about a guy who sort of is the big hero but hardly anyone would remember him for what he did. Seeing as how Destiny's back story is pretty baron as it is I thought it was a good fit.

6 Chapters? Really?. That seems a bit small although I've never written a FF before so I wouldn't know. The story I have planned so far though seems like it's going to be around 15 - 20 chapters long maybe even more. I've still got a bunch of stuff I want to put into it. Not that I'm boasting or anything haha. :3

6 chapters with 50k words, dense chapters (which i enjoy). its taken him a month to get that far and its still being updated.
typical run of the mill FF stories are usually less than 15k, stories above 30k are above average, 60k+ is usually worth a look at.
