If you manage your expectations and hype then it'll probably make the experience more enjoyable. Going in expecting a universe sized MMO with an immersive adventure is probably the wrong way of approaching the game.
This game is very fun. So very fun. Funny enough, even though you can't easily reach other players playing it "with" friends makes it that much better. I'm 90% sure the PS4 Share button was made for this game. Some minor things that are a little frustrating (Inventory space, lack of bookmarking systems, etc.) Overall I'm having a great time.
