I don't get the hype for this. It looks like a really cool game, but it seems like the hype surrounding it is a bit overblown.

To me the developer is shooting itself in the foot by not having a more user friendly online to it. The players should have the option to easily group up with each other to either explore the universe or fight each other. The game will eventually get boring when all your doing is exploring by yourself with no other player contact.

the thing is I already do just that in some games

if they get the exploring right, which I'm not saying is easy to do right, it would be worth it, and for games that do I have the most hours in

there have been exploration based single-player games before like the original elite games, evochron mercenary, freelancer which were all very much very very well recieved games, albeit incredibly difficult to get into
