Cartridges are superior to discs tbh, but this could just be referring to a 3DS version.

what if its a handheld/console hybrid it would make sense to have cartridges so you could put it in the console and/or plug it on the handheld to go

Don't they make cartridges that hold far more information than blu rays? If so, makes total sense to go back.

I want my old vcr flip cartridge back. other sources say flash memory "cartridges" can potentially hold up to 1TB of data We won't know until Nintendo opens their mouth I guess.
