Nier is a game by Yoko Taro, one of my favouirte writers and designers, his other title, Drakengard is linked to Nier, Taro is known for making very convoluted stories and having very good detail to his characters. Automata is his next game in his universe, and he's teamed up with Platinum Games.

For anyone who wants to know about the story, heres a semi decent story that can help link the games.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
The demo was great; being that it was a demo, of course. Combat felt great, although the gun tended to put it a bit on the easy side. It's almost nonstop action but it stays fresh by constantly changing. At one point it's a hack-and-slash, then it's a sidescroller, then it's a bullet-hell. It's easy to pick up, but there's still room for mastery.

If I ever had doubts about the game, this demo blew them away.

A common complaint that I usually have with games in this genre is the terrible or unwieldy camera placement. Not here; it always seems to be at the perfect angle, especially when transitioning through staircases.

I wasn't paying attention and made a bad connection; I was describing Type-Moon, but the "good but overrated" bit still applies.

Second time I switched the audio to Japanese, and I enjoyed it more. 2B's English actress is fine, but I can't stand 9S's actor.

Also noticed that the patterns on the bosses are slightly different, that's cool. Good replayability, will probably play it a third time later tonight.
