Someone update me on games

I've been inactive for 5 years or so when it comes to vidya, so I'm out of the loop.

I'm aware of No Man's Sky, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, but those are the only games I'm planning on playing.

EA and Activision are in a Civil War. They're in a competition to see who could buy the most developer studios and make the most games/money out of that.

Gabe Newell suffocated and died from all the money he made. Valve was unable to find another person to lead them so everyone just packed their stuff and left. Steam was overrun by hackers and was shut down by the FBI.

Ubisoft is on life support as Assassin's Creed remains the only game series they have that is successful. They will be pumping out the 20th game in the series soon.

Games can still run out of quantity today. Rarely, though.
