The most recent one would be Tenfold Flurry like Byrne mentioned, 10 arrows at once from a longbow does some serious damage.

Then there was the Focused Holy Bolt with a staff, with a high enough magic level that thing did some major damage at basically no cost.

Alchemy Spam in Skyrim, infinite money and levels.
Someone already posted the M16A3, god that gun killed weapon variety in BF3.
Then it returns with a vengeance in BFH, to the point where the only gun that you might want to use instead of it is the M16 clone on steroids.
Stunlocking in anything ever, makes boss battles a walk in the park.

On their own they are pretty beastly, but combined.

*Sneak Crit. Headshot with 95% chance to hit*... yes please. This with Grim Reaper's Sprint in Fallout 3 made it insane, you could clear a room in maybe 5 seconds if you factored out all the slo-mo.

this is why i avoid VATS if at all possible. i get why they felt the need to try to include it in some form in the new games but it kinda kills the otherwise good combat :l

Some of the poisons for coating your sword in The Witcher 2 are pretty powerful. Makes fights super easy.
