Okay well personally


I enjoy the crafting and gathering gear aspect of it. Running around the world, picking up bits and bobs to create items and weapons/armor feels satisfying, especially when it involves hunting down specific monsters to get that sweet bone-sword or whatever. Plus teaming up with friends to kill these horrific monsters and take home the rewards is actually quite enjoyable. I can guarantee it's not for everyone though  because some of these bastards take a while to kill and you might get bored of it, but goddamn some of the weapons are fun to use.

What could go wrong

Egg missions have always been the worst in Monster Hunter, and nobody even knows at this point why they even put them in. But at least in this game you have a pretty simple solution now to just to use the ghillie mantle instead of wasting half an hour killing the monster only to have another one spawn in almost immediately.
