if she were the most interesting character ever and you would have all that perfection ruined because of the way she is dressed at certain points in the game then you're the one that's only paying attention to the object, not the person.
I thought that was what you were against here, women being shown as just objects? Yet you would fully ignore the person to take complete offense at the physical appearance. How can that possibly be a rational position?

You said that she could have a perfect character and that if she dresses or appears a certain way she's shit. That's ignoring the character, or at least putting maximum emphasis on the object part of them.
I hate fun.
I honestly think open world ruined a lot of it.
So Eli's hair got bleached when he was a POW in the Middle East. He's about 13 or so in MGS5...so when the fuck was he captured? Was he prepubescent when he joined the SAS?

I can acknowledge that Quiet might have character, but considering that she's designed only to appease sex-craved males, I don't GIVE a fuck. Why SHOULD I give a fuck?Am I not allowed to look at the negative aspects of a character? Seems like that's what you're saying.

Some people think Solid and Liquid both have blond hair.
So like, is that it for metal gear titles?
Quote from: Luciana on September 17, 2015, 10:11:04 PMI honestly think open world ruined a lot of it.How would the open world affect the story, exactly? Because both Snake Eater and Peace Walker were essentially the same thing.Let's not blame the gameplay advancements for poor writing.

I would say that you should give a fuck because things tend to be more than just the one thing they appear to be when you first see them.
You can find appeal in more than just in her looks, which were indeed meant to appeal to hormonal males, but that in no way restricts you from finding something else appealing.
you are way too fixated on one particular thing, and you're forcing yourself to not see other possibilities. In your own zeal that you are completely right, because you don't want to see women degraded, you are fixated on the negatives and failing to move past them to find the positives that you could actually enjoy.
Snake Eater and Peace Walker had more open places you could go, but they still guided you down paths, Peace Walker especially. It was zones you went to but you followed a path zone by zone.MGS 4 was basically the same in that you slowly went down a path they guided you on. Some missions in MGS V (such as the mist area with the bloody hospital) kinda did the same thing, but it ultimately took a sandbox effect. That in itself ruined it because you visited the same areas again and again, and you could before you activate a story mission. That alone takes away a lot of the immersion for me. MGS 4 gave you the illusion the world was more open but you still had that hand guiding you down the path, and Peace Walker literally showed it with a map. This one just threw you in two boxes and told you to have fun. It didn't help you didn't have to do the story missions in any specific order.
