Indeed. Plotmaster also pointed out that the Genome Soldier's genetics were all wonky in MGS1 because they used Ahab's DNA instead of Big Boss's to create those soldiers. That's why Liquid needed the body of Big Boss in MGS1.

An interesting point. I don't see why Ocelot would even need to forget that Ahab isn't Big Boss.

The timeline seems to imply that Ahab learned of the truth during the Outer Heaven Uprising.

I think it was meant to imply that Hal has Strangelove's genes, but The Boss's memes. Strangelove had a romantic relationship with Joy so it makes sense that she would instill a lot of her values into her son.

Well Code talker says they got the Parasite research by studying The End's remains. Since he was part of the Cobras and they all had powers too, it's just a hunch that they all had it.

In the space of about five minutes Liquid took a beating from Solid, fell three stories and outright stated it would have killed Solid if he did the same, got shot dozens of times while chasing Solid and Meryl, got into a car crash, succumbed to FOXDIE, got back up, and finally succumbed again. That's not counting the Hind-D crash he got out of with do harm whatsoever.

And he didn't show any sign of discomfort until the car crash. Plot immortality aside, he makes the other Snakes look like they're made of tissue paper.

I mean sure but all the other Snakes have had their fair share of shit thrown their way.

Liquid was the superior clone so it makes sense, I'm just saying there's no reason to make the distinction between the Snakes from a gameplay perspective. I would welcome the chance to play as Liquid.

Honestly I've been thinking about it and I think a lot of hardcore MGS fans could come up with a better plot than MGSV. I don't necessarily think it would be too hard for Konami to take the KojiPro team, add in the guy who wrote the Peace Walker cassette tapes for the script/writing, and have someone else come up with the plot for the game.

I really think they could do a lot with what Kojima has done, and maybe treat it with a little more respect than MGSV got.

My biggest fear is that Konami doesn't do anything but mobile and pachinko machines with the IP. That's got me so worried.

Plus I get the feelings there's going to be a lot of DLC for this game.
