and obviously he's great in Revengence.

A little too broody in 4 though. His combat was cool but I disliked his low toned "I have to fight.........." attitude. They nailed his personality in Revengence.

I didn't get the Raiden hate either. He's a perfect stand in for the player. For example in a codec chat with Snake in MGS2, Raiden asks why he keeps fighting, he points out that he wouldn't have come to the Big Shell if he wasn't under orders to be there. Kind of like the player, who can leave at any time he or she wants.

you can't really understand the hate for raiden nowaday, you needed to play it during it's release

i mean, yeah, nowadays it's pretty obvious that MGS2 was supposed to mock mgs1

but no one really realised that back in the day

it's easy to say "i don't get the hate" now but back in the day all people wanted to do was play as solid snake
