Just a little nice interview with Hayter discussing his feelings towards Kojima, the casting process for MGS3 and subsequent games, and the potential future of the Metal Gear franchise.

I really appreciate Hayter's honesty here. I knew he couldn't say too much pre-launch, but now, he's all freed up to say as he pleases. Kojima really did spit in his face when recasting him, even if I though Hayter's performances had been getting steadily worse and worse.

What are your thoughts?

A Phantom Pain was quite a good song

I'm just a little disappointed that Williams didn't actually compose the soundtrack. His work on Ground Zeroes was hinting at something unique but familiar.

That cancelled MGS remake in the Unreal Engine? Turns out they're remaking it into an "Insomniac Museum" type thing with a David Hayter voice over.

It really is, though. Everything from the Skull imagery (Ludens) to the dead wales (Moby Dick symbolism) to the lost child shtick screams "Fuck you Konami, this time I'm out for blood. I'll keep coming."

It's like MGSV had a wild night in the sack with PT and is fulfilling everything Kojima wanted to do with the first go.

Except this time, Kojima isn't limited by the contrived narrative he bound himself to with the MGS games.

Also someone remind me to edit the OP with all new footage and photos nicely organised. I wanna record this shit for future generations.

If the ride is anything like TPPs we've got a helluva thread lined up.
