Yeah there are apparently rumours that Konami internal is looking to start a new mainline MGS game.

Should be interesting. They even say that Kojima hasn't stated whether he's returning or not -- leaving a sliver of hope for hardcore fans.

I'd like to see him stay on but heavily restricted. Like George Lucas during the original trilogy.

I get that we were all disappointed in the story but underneath all of that is still a very fun game with loads of replay-ability. It wasn't nearly as shit as MGS4 (even if I commend that game for at least trying with the story...)

I don't plan on playing it again. And when I do try, the dissappointment and shame lurks in the back of my mind like a bad smell. I can only play for about 10 minutes before switching off. It would find better use with someone else who might want it.

Well I do expect a certain level of quality from a series like MGS so y'know...
