The final conversation kinda hints at it. They talk about taking different sides and Ocelot says one day one of them is gonna have to kill the other.

Ocelot is just confusing

Why can't we call in a chopper, get in, and fly to somewhere else in the map? You can do it at Mother Base but not the open world. Why not? Seems like a poor gameplay choice imo.

I'm not sure how I feel about Volgin surviving Operation Snake Eater, it seems like a huge stretch that he survived just out of his desire for revenge. But then Volgin's pretty cool in both games, so it's cool to see him again

He was severely burned after Snake blew up the Shagohad. The Russians transported his body to a research facility to be tested on.

Yes, he survived. But he was given control of his body again via Mantis.

He couldn't be more wrong. He could have made Git-mo WAY more mature and bad than what the game showed.

It would make sense he kills Miller since Miller is on the Patriots side technically. And was when he was supporting Snake on how to take down Big Boss. In fact, I think it was him who told him to make a weapon.

I wonder why nobody tried perfecting the parasites and improving them. The Skulls were the scariest, most badass army in Metal Gear, so it makes little sense why nobody thought of reproducing them. They're better than the FROGs, at any rate.

Actually, I thought the Huey's commentary helped immerse the player in that section. I had legitimate difficult killing my men thanks to him.

I really think it's something you needed to have played to understand. It's the game's strongest point.
