I absolutely agree with that sentiment. It's just that a sequel should improve on the foundation of previous games, but the faults that Matthewmatosis describes show that FromSoft didn't really do that (Maybe because Miyazaki wasn't a director for it).

It did improve upon Dark Souls 1 though massively in terms of movement and combat. The level and boss design may not have been there, but the core gameplay was much improved.

Only reviewer I watch is Yahzee. And that's more for for entertainment than his actual opinion on a game.

Cept for those horrible hit boxes. Other than that though, yeah mostly I suppose. Though I am a bit annoyed your i-frames were tied to a skill rather than your weight. Glad that's coming back in DS3.
