Without responding back hostilely or being insulting, if you did that jape towards someone else, do you honesty think I would be the only member on this site who wouldn't have a clue as to what it truly was about? I admit my first response I went retard in, but my second response was justified. As you know the site has the "like" feature so I figured you were making a smart remark about me liking one of your posts or someone else for that matter, which may be an opinion you don't agree with.

I've yet to play it. Almost done with the single player though. The main story at least. I have so much side shit to do though. Like it's ridiculous. It's too much, just looking at the list makes me not want to do it. I will do some, and ignore the rest that's just garbage filler.

I'll get it when it's like $40 or $35. Not at all worth $60 to me right now with the shit it's pushing out.

It's already selling at special deals around $49 anyway, so it'll probably be like 4 or 5 months.

I disagree, you definitely get your moneys worth with the amount of content and things to do the game ships with. I got to 15 hours into my playthrough and I was barely done with the first world you go to, Eos. There's easily another 40+ hours with the amount of side quests and dialogue.

MP is tons of fun.

Have you tried the vanguard yet? It's super fun, probably the best it's ever been. Charge works so well with the jet pack.

I've just played my first match of multiplayer, human adept. Haven't started the singleplayer yet.

I can't say I'm too impressed. I don't know if I was just laggy (I didn't feel laggy but my friend said he's been having lag issues so idk) or what but I honestly didn't find the new gameplay all that satisfying. At least, not as drastic an improvement it had been made out to be. The jetpack feels okay but the boost thing is stupid and I hate it, and the weapons feel completely ineffectual against enemies even on the lowest difficulty. Plus, the hideous HUD/ display has so many confusing elements I genuinely couldn't find where it said my biotic powers had recharged.

"You just need to play more and unlock better weapons" (Because I know someone will say it)

That's hardly an enticing argument. Telling me to play a game that isn't fun to unlock RNG packs that might make the game more fun isn't a good argument to make me continue playing the game.

Of course, I never particularly found ME3's multiplayer all that engaging either so I'm probably not the target audience. But if this is an accurate reflection of the singleplayer I can't see myself playing it for long. It isn't bad per se, just really fucking boring. All of this after one match, so hopefully it's better in the less grindy singleplayer.

I got it for free so I can't complain too much though.

Bioware have been on a downward spiral since KOTOR.

So, how bad is this game?

It isn't bad, people are overreacting way too much about it. The game however does have the worst beginning out of any Mass Effect game by far. After that the game is pretty solid and gets better as it goes on.

The environments are so god damn beautiful though. If there is one thing they nailed it's the planets. They are so believable.

The derelict on Elaaden actually feels so massive, the scale is something I've never experienced in a game. From far away I was like its not that big, but as I drove closer and closer I was like holy shit.

Havaarl gives me headaches but it's very pretty, the lighting kills me though, too dark for my brain.

Aya is just incredible. Voeld I haven't spent much time on, Eos not crazy about, but still not ugly.

Even the Turian planet, asteroid thing, is pretty fucking sweet.

I wish they would do a prequel with Shepard in the first contact war, so you can still have a sense of exploration in the Milky Way. Not even Shepard honestly, anyone. It would be cool to see how things were before the council stepped in and early stages with the council.

Mass Effect still has incredible potential, and I think Andromeda sets itself up for a great sequel, because there's so many possibilities. The writing just needs to deliver.

honestly I had hopes Milky Way humans from AFTER the initiative would show up. You'd think we'd have found a much faster way to get to Andromeda in 600 years. I was hoping you'd run into them or something. They could have brought a new quantum communicator by that point. Shit we don't even know how damn advanced we are in the Milky Way. We could have surpassed the Protheans. Yet it's funny how we already did by the time the Initiative left, not even the Protheans spanned galaxies. And the Jaardan seem hyper advanced, but only in certain capacities.

But I'm confused. Are the Jaardan the civilization that are the Remnant, or are they the Remnant enemy who released the Scourge. It's something they never clarify, and it's really odd. They never delve into who the hell the Remnant are. Yet in ME 1 we knew who the Protheans were, quickly too.

Also keep in mind this is one cluster in galaxy substantially larger then the Milky Way.

So they have an unreal amount of space to play with.

I'm definently hooked on the direction and plot they set up. And I liked Ryder much more then I expected, same with the crew.
