I'm talking about the default character. For the original Mass Effect they intentionally made the default male look like a blend of a bunch of different races so that a wide variety of people would be able to identify with it.

Granted this is an early build of ME:A so things could have changed, however considering Biowares recent history I wouldn't be surprised if what I stated earlier was the case.
