Not being able to pause is objectively one of the best parts of the game
It doesn't change any gameplay mechanic, but just makes the multi-player work better on a 6 year old game with low player count. Nothing as frustrating as knowing there's people online and in your area looking to play together but being unable to because the game pooled you with just 2 other players that aren't even in your part of the game.
imagine that the option to turn off blood did not existif someone then said, "i don't like blood, i want an option to turn off the blood," how would you respond to that, and how would you expect such a person to be treated by the dark souls community as a whole
