I'd say Elder Scrolls or Fallout for lore but you've already said you don't like Bethesda's style of gameplay

yeah, it did. i'm on a jak and daxter kick right now, though -- or, i was before i left for europe last week. i'm trying to 100% all 3 games, plus jak x and maybe the lost frontier.

then i'll get to klonoa.

as for the avatar thing -- i'll always love mgs and its characters. just because i'm kinda "done" with gaming doesn't mean i stop liking the games i liked before.

Mass Effect bored the shit out of me and I got lost a lot.

Granted I haven't played it in a few years, but still. I hated those missions in ME1 where you had to drive vehicles. Really ruined it for me.
