lets end this "who's the best halo player in sep7" business

its time to put up or shut up; post your stats here. there's little else that proves who's the best than raw statistics. i look forward to seeing the players who are actually talented step forward.

the best stat aggregate site at the moment, to my knowledge, is waypoint, unfortunately. luckily they seem to have revamped their stat hosting so its better than its been in the past. if HTR or Halocharts are actually useful again, someone please tell me.

i never played ce or h2 online, so im terrible at both of them. i did play a lot of h3 and reach, and a fair amount of h4 before i ragequit forever. ive become bored with fps so i dont play mcc, but here are my statlines from those games' multiplayers back in the 360 days.

Waypoint doesn't have up to date data for KD. 1.38 for ranked and 1.83 for social (that's bungie's old data, so it's not necessarily totally accurate anymore, though i didnt play h3 very much after they stopped tracking stats.)

if it were 2012 i might have set something up. im just interested to see statlines at the moment. they're good to use as credentials when it comes to understanding the various games' multiplayer modes.

On Halo 3 I was a 43 with a .93 k/d. Reach I had a 1.35 k/d and a 1.37 in Halo 4. MCC I got a 1.27 and mostly play Halo 3 or H2A.

Yeah but it's not like the stats would necessarily determine who would win in-game if they were to play against each other.

It might seem that way, but we won't know unless it happens.

Which sounds like a great idea for another game night.

Not really. If you're like me and play mostly objective game types, your k/d, accuracy, etc, don't matter as much as capping a point. There's games where I'll go 4-12 but have some of the most points on my team, others I'll go 25-6 and toward the bottom.

You must not play solo at all or play a shitload of BTB. I have about even stats overall with you but a win loss of 2.2 in Halo 4 and Reach. I never really partied up with people in matchmaking at all.

NVM. I have a higher amount of kills per game at an average of 17 and about two additional deaths so about 8.

I was too much of a casual player at the time during Halo 3 to even bother working on them until it was too late and everyone jumped ship. Just played customs all the time anyways.

Reach was too bothersome for me to try as hard as I normally do due to the lack of competitive settings until v7 came out.

Halo 4 mostly consisted of me going solo most of the time. But I didn't play nearly as much as I did with 3/Reach.

For the Halo 5 beta, I think I'm somewhere along Semi-Pro 1700+ with a 3 K/D, but that game is just confused when it comes to it's ranking. I've seen Negative Onyx players on that thing.

I rarely played solo, especially in Reach and H4. I spent about all my time in Reach pubstomping in Objective/BTB with full parties.

oh, i started playing in 2009. i didnt have an xbox until 2008, or wifi until 2009. not everyone had the privilege to enjoy the older halo games, you know.

having a good k/d doesnt necessarily mean you're good. having a bad k/d is usually a pretty good indicator that someone isn't very skilled. what's actually important is context. in which playlists did that person spend the most time, what was their winrate, and did they maintain a good kda the whole time? those things, taken together, are fairly good indicators of skill. you can't just ignore statistics for arbitrary reasons related to your personal opinion on the game and its players. raw numbers tell an unbiased story.
