Seems like the original idea of the thread has kinda gone out the window thanks to Verbatim. However, take this thread as a way to see that debating on Sep7agon is literal cancer.
It's 2016 now. I'm pretty sure that even the most potato of potato PCs these days can run 10+ year old PS2 level games. If you have a decent mobo, you may even be able to run them just by using on-board video. You can also build a PC of comparable or better power to a modern console for roughly the same price. Also, if you're a low income gamer in a third world country, you probably aren't going to be playing an X1 or PS4. You're probably going to be playing F2P games on a laptop or low end PC.
Unless you were referring to Nintendo
X1/PS4 having "better" games than PC is bullshit and you know it.
Sure, Sony has plenty of exclusives on PS4, but those are mostly just appealing for people who were already fans of Sony.
(Every not terrible MMO and RTS game
nonshit indie games
infinitely more longevity (no issues of "backwards compatibility"),
and freedom with what you can do with those games (I know you don't like it, but mods are a pretty huge upside to PC gaming.)
Not to mention you don't have to pay for XBL/whatever the fuck Sony uses now. The only thing you have to pay to play online is your ISP.
I'm sorry, but PC is just objectively better than X1/PS4.
I'm not going to compare Nintendo, because Nintendo is in it's own league and can't really be compared due to it being Nintendo and hosting completely different genres and appealing to completely different demographics than what is typical of other platforms, though ironically, as a PC gamer, the Wii U is the only console that's actually worth buying.

Don't bother, he gets like this whenever he's wrong.
Sure, if that's what you want to believe.
didn't say anything else, and I utterly dismantled all of them.
You didn't
PC is better, more versatile and more capable. But the starting cost is considerable and it's no guarantee it'll ultimately be cheaper for people who don't buy a lot of games (at launch). It's also more susceptible to hacks, crashes and a myriad of software/hardware problems that can be a pain for even the tech-savvy people, along with quite a bit of things that can go wrong building one or setting things up.Consoles are weaker and less capable of playing a large variety of games at the highest settings, but the plug-and-play easy set-up and the laid-back couch (split-screen) gameplay make it more convenient, fun and social for a lot of people. And while it is possible to set up a PC like that, it'll take a lot more effort, make things less comfortable or put you at a disadvantage against others.
Quote from: LC on June 08, 2016, 11:02:25 AMYou didn'tIf that makes you happy.I did, though. You were always the easiest person to dismantle on this entire website, on any subject.
Your arguments always boil down to "I'm right because I say so". That's not really a legitimate argument, but whatever dude.
>having to build a machine yourselfwow that totally sounds like something i'd want to go out of my way to do just to play video games
You can pay someone to do it for you.
Because that's what a PC gamer's argument always boils down to."We have better graphics!" In your opinion."We have better frame rates!" In your opinion.
so i get to pay more, when i could just play this PS3 i got for less than $50 at a rummage salecool
the price comment is kind of right if the person is uninformed.
But the fact that you can tailor your graphic settings and frame rate to what you need is something I really wish they brought to consoles. We all remember the trailers and game videos leading up to the release of the next CoD showing a stable 60fps but as soon as you slap it into your console you're getting 30 if you're lucky.
If you factor in the costs of having someone build it for you and you're shooting for PS3 levels of graphics and hardware, yes you will pay more than getting a PS3 but it wont be by an exuberant amount, not even an amount worth noting as a difference.
Like you?Flea markets. Rummage sales. Amazon. All places you can get a console for $20 or less, if you're lucky and patient.
I can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 unless you put them side-by-side, so it's a total non-issue for me.
It's like pissing in a museum.

You are the main cause.
Everyone who thinks it does just has shit taste.
you fucking idiot
for being the smug cunt
and I utterly dismantled all of them.
If just pushing pure dogmatism counts as "dismantling" you sure did alot of that.
Quote from: ChaosMetalDragon on June 08, 2016, 12:05:46 PMIf just pushing pure dogmatism counts as "dismantling" you sure did alot of that. You mean like PC gamers do?PC gamers are incapable of arguing facts,
so I demonstrate that by being an elitist myself. To show how fucking stupid you are. That's the point.
I'm not allowed to be dogmatic, but PC gamers are. Cool hypocrisy, bro.
epic strawman
where did I ever say this
