Well its nice to know you rather use a PC to emulate than just buy whatever game
Quote from: Yu on June 08, 2016, 12:52:19 AMWell its nice to know you rather use a PC to emulate than just buy whatever gameNo I wouldn't, because that's illegal and wrong. My point is that console is better because I don't have to break the law in order to play the games I want to play.

The games you want are on consoles, your sole enjoyment doesn't validate that, but whatever you want.

Because then, I can just turn around and say that they all suck. Like you said--your sole enjoyment doesn't validate your claim. That's the point of my argument. It's really amazing to me how PC gamers bitch and moan when I treat my opinions as facts, but it's totally okay when they do it. Yeah, that makes so much sense.

I'm pretty sure that even the most potato of potato PCs these days can run 10+ year old PS2 level games. If you have a decent mobo, you may even be able to run them just by using on-board video. You can also build a PC of comparable or better power to a modern console for roughly the same price. To address your other point: Unless you were referring to Nintendo, X1/PS4 having "better" games than PC is bullshit and you know it. Most AAA titles these days are multiplatform, and X1/PS4 still don't exactly have any real killer apps as of yet. Sure, Sony has plenty of exclusives, but those are mostly appealing for people who were already fans of Sony. Maybe one or two tops is good enough to justify me spending $300+ on a console, which isn't nearly enough, IMHO. With PC, you effectively get 90% of the same games, a shitload more exclusives, infinitely more longevity (no issues of "backwards compatibility"), and freedom with what you can do with those games (I know you don't like it, but mods are a pretty huge upside to PC gaming.) Not to mention you don't have to pay for XBL/whatever the fuck Sony uses now. The only thing you have to pay to play online is your ISP.I'm sorry, but PC is just objectively better than X1/PS4. I'm not going to compare Nintendo, because Nintendo is in it's own league and can't really be compared due to it being Nintendo and hosting completely different genres and appealing to completely different demographics than what is typical of other platforms.I'm gonna have to respond later, but thank you for the substantive response. There's actually some worthy discussion points you brought up, unlike what I've been dealing with in this thread with LC/azu/Batch.

I'm about to blow +1k plus on a PC.Verbatim, stop me!
You'll be playing better quality games
and saving money in the long run by paying less for games and not
having to pay $60 a year to use the internet you already pay for.

How am I supposed to healslut for Tru when I keep running into walls?
Most games have controller support nowadays.Just depends on wether you think that's worth losing some aiming precision (assuming an FPS here)

I don't use her pistol that often anyway so I guess I can do with a controller.
Same applies to console, if you don't care to use XBL or PSN, or if you're a retro gamer.
You've never made a single valid point. In your life.
Quote from: LC on June 08, 2016, 02:19:04 AMYou'll be playing better quality gamesI've thoroughly destroyed this logic.Quoteand saving money in the long run by paying less for games and notShittier games tend to cost less, yes. On console, if you're paying $60 for games instead of waiting for the price drop, that's on you. Don't bother, he gets like this whenever he's wrong.
PC is objectively superior. More cost efficient, more games, KB+M, more powerful than consoles, not to mention all the non-gaming shit PCs can do. Blows consoles out of the water. Console plebs are fuckin deluded
"You can hook up your PC to your television and download a program that lets you use gamepads."I shouldn't have to do any of that
You literally plug the controller in and the drivers automatically download and it's ready to go.Hooking up a PC to a TV requires just as much work as hooking up a console.
