Every single racing game ever that has a story/characters to it has always been cheesy, corney, and based off the early Fast and Furious movies. Its a tradition really.

the story is awful yeah

I rushed through it, skipped all the cutscenes so I could cruise around

I'd just cruise around for hours, it's not a very good racing game, but it's great for relaxing

I'd just start the game and cruise for hours on random roads

it's not that bad, the controls kinda suck but there's some good settings for it and I don't use a controller anyway

I have a feeling it would be do much bette if they actually marketed it as an exploration and cruising game
