Kazuma Jinnouchi @kazjin2612 After an amazing 7-year ride, today is my last day at 343 Industries as an in-house composer. I'm becoming a freelancer and starting a new chapter of my adventure. HUGE thank you to @Halo and the community for letting me do what I love! I wouldn't be what I am without you.19h ago
I see it as more of a good thing, now he can write something neither linked to Halo, nor limited by it.
Neil Davidge is infinitely better, anyway.
better than 117

Quote from: BaconShelf on July 14, 2018, 07:14:24 PMThe only issue he had was that the music he did didn't "feel" like Halo, I've always felt like this was the dumbest thing people could say, because what "feels" like Halo is arbitrary and impossible to determine. Beyond that, Halo 4 is a very different game narratively to the original 3, and it needed a new sound to establish that.Davidge's score was incredibly inspired and set the tone perfectly for 343's vision. Keep in mind this was when 343 still had balls and aritistic integrity before trying to appease Original Trilogy faggots. I still maintain that Halo 4 has the best campaign of all Halo games in terms of overall artistic merit. It was used pretty terribly in-game for sure, but I can't really levy that against him.
