I think it was better than the second one, but also radically different ass far as theme goes.

It actually leaves you with a lot more questions than even HL2, which is quite the statement.

And not surprisingly, none of those questions were answered in the sequel.

To be fair I got it in 1998, and just it in a box until 2013, when I installed it on my computer to see wat all the a half life 3 fuss was about, then didn't play it fort the first time until after I finished HL2 last year.

I also bought shadow of mordor last Christmas and have played it for like one hour or some shit.

Half Life I thought was more fun than the sequel. You got your human enemies, you got your alien ones, and a tad bit of dimension jumping and God-killing for the end.

Half Life 2 while fun, just wasn't as good. It had a weird mix of 1984 and War of the Worlds and all of the enemies although alien, were just converted/loyal humans or those machine-walkers.
