That's it, i'm going to stick my neck out and say that in the coming years this is going to develop into a common or at least uncommon feature of games. When you have a company like Bethesda that does something new everyone is going to want to jump on the bandwagon to maximise exposure and reach.

It was only a matter of time before someone else announced they were mulling over a similar system, and that's not a bad thing at all imo

Cool but they'll be very restricted on consoles. They'll have to be approved. And plenty of them just won't work on consoles because of they're out dated hardware.

As long as it won't break my Xbox I don't care, mods may be interesting.

They will be EXTREMELY restricted though, no doubt having to go through approval by Microsoft/Sony then the developer first.

That would only really be mods that added content. No graphics mods abd anything of that sort.
