Is Skyward Sword the worst console Zelda?

I'm watching my wife play through the second half of this game after I played through the first half a long time ago, and it's just boring as fuck. Ghirahim is easily the lamest villain in the franchise and there's an unprecedented amount of MMO fetch quest crap.

The graphics look great and a few of the gadgets are pretty innovative, but I don't see a lot of redeeming qualities to the game besides what it adds to the lore.

What're your thoughts?

I didn't like Link's Awakening very much though. The ending was stupid.

It's Zelda, so it's probably good. But based on my observations and knowledge, Windwaker>Majora's Mask=Ocarina of Time>Twilight Princess>Skyward Sword.

So, yeah. The Wii version of Twilight Princess is an abomination, though.

I actually didn't have trouble or any complaints with Twilight Princess on the wii.

OT I've heard lots of people like Skyward sword, but it never appealed to me

They're Zelda games on a console that were officially licensed by Nintendo. The thread title asks if the Skyward Sword is the worst console Zelda. I don't see why they wouldn't count.

OT:

It's generally regarded as a lesser installment in the series.
The first ten minutes in Skyloft are amazing--but it's all downhill from there.

Very, very casual-friendly gameplay. Lots of hand-holding and intelligence-insulting. Simple level design.

Beautiful visuals and music, but that's pack-standard with every Zelda game.

Lots of people bitch about the motion controls, too, but I thought they were very good. Perfect, actually.

This biggest complaint I've heard is that they made Link right-handed with his sword to immerse the player.

Which is like making a Metal Gear without a cardboard box.

Well, it was less to immerse the player, and more because most people are right-handed, and it would just be awkward trying to play without your dominant hand... dominating. Sucks for lefties, but thems the breaks.

That's definitely not the biggest complaint, though. Trust me--some people regard SS in the same way you regard MGS4.

The right handedness on the wii really wasn't an issue. As for the cardboard box, I've actually rarely used it in mgsv

Previously, I thought Link's name was Zelda and Zelda's name was Daisy.

Wind Waker will always be my favorite. I loved the art style and music. To this day that is among my favorite games.

Part of the reason I love it so much is that it took me a while to find it; I bought it around 2009 and I was only able to find one used in a GameStop in Alamagordo, NM (where they buried E.T. the video game) after a couple months of searching.
