Installation 01: A fan developed Halo Game for both new and old players.

Just wanted to give some attention to a fan game that I think is gonna turn out well. The development of Installation 01 has been going on for about 3 years. Beginning in 2013, first announced on B.net in 2014, and here they are today.
As a follower of the game, active member of their discord and overall fan. I'd like to recommend checking it out.

They also are always looking for new talent. If you have some skill in game development you can contact a lead on Discord with a portfolio ready and they can interview you.

This game, even if 3 years in, is still in pre-alpha. However they are trying for a closed alpha during the end of the month.

yeah this was around the time my folks kicked me out of the house so i didn't have any means of communicating with them except over phone, and i had bigger things to worry about

someone else wouldve been better anyway considering i'm not very passionate about halo

MS works a bit differently than sony and nintendo when it comes to fan created games

as long as you stay within the guidelines they've set out for fan projects you can do whatever you want

As long as nothing is actual assets from the games, it doesn't use the world "Halo" in it's title and makes absolutely ZERO money(donations and ad revenue via Youtube/other sites are exceptions) they are good to go.

The leads have even worked to contact 343 and MS about the game and what they would want I01 to keep away from. However I believe a 343 developer said something about I01 and said he was happy to see how it turns out.

Honestly, MS I can get behind there. They basically say "you do your own shit? Alright we'll leave ya be"

Copyright, money, licensing, etc.

If any fan creation even slightly violates MS' rules. They can put the hammer down FAST. Plus there are some grey areas that can be interpreted differently. Not many but some.
I01 won't take donations because of those grey areas.
