Both those things you mentioned plus there were a lot upset by OMA-Noob tubing and nuke boosting. There was a plethora of people ready to haze Robert Bowling beyond his shitty "Stealth Clown" joke, and like I said, BFfags vehemently doing everything they can in their power to shit on CoD despite their precious FPS title being just as much of a shitty milked series.

MW2 is the only CoD with Commando lunge, yes. With host advantage you can knife people from a good 10ft away.

MW2 had so many OP combos and glitched things that it's surprising it was so hilariously popular at the time.

The game was so fun and addicting because everything was so overpowered and the game had the most kickass killstreaks out of any CoD

commando pro was the lunge
marathon pro meant you could sprint forever
martyrdom drops a live grenade when you die

I am pretty sure the thing that hurts a lot of Cod development is that trends are hard to tell sometimes since they each have to plan 3 years ahead. Battlefield 1 didn't have that problem luckily. This is IW first real super future game that they were probably too late on to change anything. Either way I am not very interested in what Cod does anymore, even zombies wise it just feels stale.

I'm confused

It's a game with infinitely more fleshed out spaceship mechanics than what CoD will be. If you want space combat, there are far bettet games than IW to do it, many of them cheaper to boot.
