Infinite Warfare pre-order numbers are in

The pre-orders are abysmal with them barely over the 30,000 mark for PS4 and Xboner. Black Ops 3 at this point last year had nearly 10x the amount of pre-orders for both PS4 and Xboner.

Now I know everyone doesn't pre-order, but jesus christ this is getting even more sad as time goes on as IW continues to get hate across the internet. If the footage of IW multiplayer and CoD 4 doesn't sell over the crowd at E3, then Activision may be in deeper shit than they already are.

Even Black Ops 3 is now having a negative gap to it by the fans and even Treyarch. Yeah, this franchise is already dead, personally. I do hope that everyone in the world is aware that <.1% of the approximate 3M dislikes on the IW trailer are ever a part of a "bandwagon mentality", and that everyone knows that CoD is close to its grave, or already dead.

There's a bunch of reasons I can think of:

-Bandwagoning - the casual person probably stops at 3M dislikes, closes the tab, and doesn't preorder
-Brand new theme - a lot of people have barely noticed how fucking random CoD has gotten over the years. What used to be people in ghillie suits with snipers in Ukraine and terrorists in airports are now gingerbread-man robots having shootouts and doing super jumps around Disney World. This was a lot more in-your-face than that, because it didn't even look for a second like there was dudebro tactical shootiness.
-Treyarch has become the only CoD developer worth playing. When every other year, a non-BLOPS game comes out, it's shit. Infinity Ward hasn't made a good game since MW2, and people are sick of seeing them, especially after the giant meme that is Ghosts. The company itself isn't even what it used to be in a literal way: Sledgehammer took over MW3 because IW fucked up and broke apart.
-People are super pissed about the CoD4 bundle scumminess.

They say that because the multiplayer isn't a massively broken down piece of shit, and the story is actually worth something playing to enjoy. A villain in Black Ops 2 (Manendez) was more fleshed out than Makarov who had 2 games to develop, and he had no character whatsoever other than "lol me loco", along with the plot hole infestation that is MW2/3.

That and Ghosts was a huge recession in terms of MP.

I haven't played anything beyond BLOPS2 but that's because BLOPS2 was a literal reskin. It really is brand loyalty, MW2 got a lot of bad rap for no reason and it stuck with IW into MW3 despite MW3 being legitimately good.

Also I'm pretty sure half those dislikes is from rabid BF fanboys who have no ground to stand on to insult the CoD franchise, nor any military FPS.

For the first Black Ops I love the trust they did with Reznov. Every time you were with him after the prison level he wasn't there at all, he was some random solider. What makes him even better is that he has five fingers on one of his hands when he should have only four due to a WW2 injury. The reason why he has all of them is due to Alex not knowing about that injury.
