-Multiplayer was a huge step up from H4, and I see a big focus on competitive, balanced play. The map design is pretty decent so far, the movement makes this feel like an actual arena shooter, there is almost zero aim assist, and they got rid of the cod-style loadouts and perks.

And that's just a small fraction of the fanbase.
The people who hate it and cry about the new stuff are the minority that jerk their dicks over Halo 2 (or 3) who conveniently forget that Halo 2 and its new mechanics were hated so much that there were entire websites dedicated to hating it.

There's nothing to say the levels and objectives will be well done though, or that the amount of missions will be enough to satisfy people.

I'm leaving room for skepticism, but I had a ton of fun during the beta.  I hope it only goes good places from there.
There is aim assist in the game, but it's so unbelievably small compared to H2-H4.

Even if it is good I'm not going to buy an Xbone just for this game. If it comes out on Windows (unlikely) I'll get it I guess.
