I can't seem to finish FF7

What am I doing wrong? The plot and setting mesh together so well that it can be described as immersive, the characters are archetypes but still interesting and entertaining enough, and I don't know, it's just a cool game.

What is it about FF7 that is excellent but prevents it from being the best final fantasy game?

Currently, its ageing graphics nowadays, now Im a fanboy at heart so that game will always be perfect to me.

But the remake should make it climb its way to the top once more.

I honestly know a mod or two that'd give you updated graphics and music if that's what you want.

Not the Advent Children character models, thank god, but updated ones that still fit the style.

Problem with FF7 was the MOMENT FF8 came out, the graphics of 7 already looked outdated.

but vastly overrated

I honestly think I prefer 4 over 7, which is saying a lot considering 7 was all of my PS1 childhood days

FF3 is also on Steam. It's not as story heave as 4 and more focused on combat/the original FF premise (4 warriors, crystals, saving shit).

im gonna get the remake, as i never had the chance to play the original.
the only FF i ever got close to beating was FF6. it was amazing, but my laptop fucked up and i lost all my progress. i need to go back and finish it.

The director didn't even know he was directing when it was announced. They haven't begun development yet....at all.

FF6 has the best female lead protag in the series.

Lightning can't come close to touching her.

And she has the best damn theme/opening to a FF
