You should have an item in your inventory called "soul of ____ " (whatever the first bosses name was)There's one of those for every boss. You CAN use them to gain a large amount of souls. You SHOULD hold on to them until you can do something else with them.

Guide to literaly the only viable PvP stratagy40 viggor 40 Dex40 Strength40 EnduranceThorn setGrasscrest sheildChloranthy ringRing of favorinvisible roll tingany of the following weaponsEstocDark SwordAny KatanaCarthus Curved SwordPlaystyle:Buff with Fire, Bleed, or Lightning before every fight. If your opponent cannot parry you R1 Mash. If they can parry just switch to the biggest weapon you can. It dosnt matter how slow it is, the latency paired with hyper armor will play the game for you. If your opponent is a sorcerer and manages to sucessfully space you by some miracle of god just throw knives or firebombs. You will outshoot them garunteed. You can also just sidestep and they will literaly never hit youDont bother timing rolls. your stamina meter is really just one long invincibility frame meter, roll as long as you want and you will never get hit.Alternatively you can switch any of these weapons with the Farron great sword or Gundyr's halberd and spam their special attacks instead. However this costs some of that blue bar, but who cares you;re getting better use out of it than the mages.
Just gonna put this here because it's half relevant and not worth its own thread; is VaatiVidya's channel on YT good for DS Lore stuff?

Also from the bottom of the elevator you can step on it to send it up and then Jump off quickly. That way it will be at the top waiting for you when you inevitably die again
I personally felt there were too MANY bonfires in DS3. Not as bad as 2 maybe, but still there. I guess that's the necessary evil when fast travel and more linear level design is a thing.
