My first shiny was a Poochyena too, luckily I had the balls to catch it.

I've had some good and bad experiences with shinys. Once I ran into a shiny Abra that I didn't catch, I got my copy of Pokemon Black early and found a shiny Pidove that I had been planning on using anyway,

Oh and I was playing a romhack that had really cool fake pokemon, but I found a shiny Dugtrio

Shiny Tyrunt was the only shiny I've ever hatched. Looks really good in blue.

Eh it has ok colours, but as a shiny it doesn't change enough for my liking.

And unlike Gengar and Garchomp the mega doesn't fix it either
