i'm of the opinion that all characters should be available from the start
so i'm not opposed to doing cheap shit like that

like, i get the excitement of unlocking them at complete random, but

sometimes i don't care and just wanna play as my favorite character

Well thanks to your strategy I just unlocked Falco.

I think they should make alternate skins for characters unlockable the way characters are locked off now

Like, have Link's Wii-U outfit unlockable by beating the 100-man Melee event or something, y'know?

That way it's purely cosmetic and adds a little longevity to the game.

I wouldn't even call Smash a fighting game, though.

I mean, maybe it is, but when you say "fighting game", I think Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat or even DBZ Budokai.

Smash is more of a party game, at least, IMO.

As for my Melee progress -- I've unlocked everyone except Ganon, Pichu, Mewtwo, Luigi and Mr. Game & Watch. Out of the characters I have, I'm only missing the Classic Mode Clear Trophy from Roy and Dr. Mario.

Tomorrow, I'm going to clear Classic Mode with those two, and start adventure mode with Mario to get Luigi, and then move over to Event Mode to get Ganon and Pichu. Mewtwo will come in time, I'm sure.

I want to get

-Luigi
-Pichu
-Ganon
-Battlefield
-Final Destination

before I switch over to SSB4. I reckon I'll get it before Sunday, but who knows.

20 hours in 2 days? I don't think I'll be able to do something like that again.

When MW2 came out and I got it for Christmas, I played it for 17 hours straight with friends. I went from level 1 to level 47 during that time.

Smash doesn't appeal to me. It looks boring and sounds boring.

Cool, bud'. I'm going to try and get on Smash sometime this weekend, but I've been preoccupied with Melee. Once I get Pichu and Ganondorf, I'll make the switch. I just can't seem to unlock any Event after 25 for some reason, even though I've done every event up to 20.

And dude, I played Mario Kart 8 -- it's amazing, holy. The vehicle customisation, the characters, the graphics, the controls. I'm actually really enjoying this GamePad. It's nowhere near as gimmicky as I thought it would be.
