It's interesting he counted Marthcina as one character when they get different rewards off their moves. Lucas, Kirby, Bowser and Falco are way higher than they should be tbh. I know it's pretty much shilling because I main him but I honestly think Link should be an upper mid tier character. Aside from RosaLuma being one of the hardest counters between any 2 characters in the entire series and Corrin's broken fucking FD-sized lance I think most of his matchups are at worst 60-40 against him.Interesting top tier, I'd have expected Cloud and Rosa to be 2 and 3 (I still don't know who I'd have as #1 though). Honestly Bowser Jr, Samus and Wario should be higher but the rest I pretty much agree with. Greninja could be a high tier tho
Quote from: CK97 on August 24, 2016, 12:20:17 AMIt isn't, but not by very much. Marth loses to about 3-5 more characters than Corrin, though Marth's results are way better than Corrin's right now.YOC, Ryuga, and somewhat Ryo are the Corrins getting results right now (would mention Cosmos but he doesn't travel). Marth has Leo, False, Pugwest, and Mr. E doing a lot.So are Back Room tier lists based on Tournament results that include Locals? Or is it just their collective voted opinion? A few of their decisions are pretty questionable I can see Pikachu being lower because there's such a massive gap between esam and the other mains too.

Tell me which part was the most accurate....

I think I'm making all my local people believe 2 things: Fox can't be counterpicked, and he's broken.Because boy are they trying.

How'd you go in the Melee bracket after Losers Finals? P impressive to be doing so well at it despite the lack of practice. It took me ages to get used to the Input precision, movement speed and constant unintentional fast falling.
Well frankly the main reason I'm getting 2nd is 1/2 of the top 2 players are missing, so there's only one guy who can steamroll my ass. The rest, I thought were good. Watched them play. They've got melee tech down nicely. But then I go in there, fumble around, get an occasional gimp, also get chaingrabbed to hell and back, and win.TLDR Melee is jank and I'm the jankmaster
Team SoloMid's Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios, the most dominant Smash for Wii U player in the world, has been included in the Guinness World Records Gamers Edition 2017 for a win streak of 53 tournaments (actually 56) in a row. The record run, stretching from 2014 to 2015, could be the most dominating streak in modern video games, not just Super Smash Bros. The incredible run spanned from November 29th, 2014 (UGC Biweekly #17) to October 4th, 2015 (The Big House 5) and features some tough times, including possibly the greatest losers bracket run in all of fighting games at The Big House 5. After falling in the second round of pools and then sweeping to the losers semifinals, ZeRo looked like he was vulnerable for the first time in a long time against Jason "Anti" Bates. Then he brought it back from the brink 2-1 to come back and win before sweeping his way through the loser's finals. In the grand finals he would sweep Nairoby "Nairo" Quezda 3-0 to reset the bracket before again falling to a 2-1 deficit. The unthinkable didn't happen that day; ZeRo somehow came back from the brink once more to defeat Nairo and win his 56th tournament.Guinness began publishing a Gamers Edition in February 2008 and has continued to cover the records of video games and esports since then. This was the first inclusion of ZeRo's record breaking streak in the series. ZeRo has been a top Smash player across many titles including Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Project M.
Ayyy.
Quote from: RadicalClass32 on September 10, 2016, 02:32:02 PMAyyy.Man Big House 5 was such a hype tournament. I wonder how long ZeRo will stay as one of the top players. Ken's dominant streak ended in '07 but he still goes top 32 consistently.

One of the best 3 players at my locals has never wavedashed or even L canceled in his life and he still fucks you up. I actually do better against him in Smash 4 than in Melee.
Cixor fucks me up though, he doesn't let my bullshit work. Plus he's falco so I'm on a roller coaster the whole game.

Think you'll develop a counterplay for him?
Really unsure, it's not the game I invest in. If I were to, main option I see is working on my on-stage techniques so I don't get shined and daired over and over.
64 is best Smash
I tell him if he keeps talking smack I'll double footstool him, which I've never even attempted before.SpoilerI double footstooled him.
Just finished dead last again at my Melee weekly. I'm actually pretty happy with what I did though.Normally I play pretty brain dead/autopilot with my Sheik but I'm pretty comfortable with movement. Tonight it was just fucking wack though, the Controller felt like a brick and it really didn't want to do anything I tried, like it would only buffer half of the inputs the game is normally capable of. I was dropping every single SHFFL and Short-hop Special despite being able to do both off muscle memory on the same controller for the last few weeks. I got close to reverse 3-0ing a Samus I normally have trouble with though, I finally figured him out. I mostly needle camped and f-tilted his missiles out of the way and I think once I get comfortable with movement again I'll finally be able to do better at the Tournaments. Got my head back in the game and it feels great Quote from: Val 'Ketam on September 13, 2016, 03:24:27 AMI tell him if he keeps talking smack I'll double footstool him, which I've never even attempted before.SpoilerI double footstooled him.Footstools are the rudest thing in smash tbh
