She likes sexy women.
It's a terrible analogy and makes no sense.
People can make whatever character they like. If they want to make a slutty ninja character that barely wears clothes, more power to them.

So I'm thinking that Verb is about 60% serious and 40% troll.Like I believe he actually believes some of the things spews into our faces, but like 40% of the time he's just being a contrarian.I mean he's smart. Too smart to believe some of the shit he believes so that's the percentage I came up with.

One of my problems with what Verbatim is saying is how it's wrong for something to be sexual because (and I've seen him say this before and I think this is what it might boil down to) sexual things are icky and gross. Which in itself is hardly a reason to call for the death of all things sexual in games/media. Even if it's unneeded.
And let's say it was acceptable to demand something be removed because it's icky and gross. The whole idea of sexual objectification is protecting the gender as a whole (male or female) and essentially assigning more value to the human body. (This is the part where I haven't thought this through in it's entirety I'm just throwing this out there for discussion purposes.) Wouldn't assigning the human body value as it is an appeal to nature? You're essentially saying that the human body should not be tampered with because they have to look "normal."

Which in itself is hardly a reason to call for the death of all things sexual in games/media. Even if it's unneeded. Well, it's also because I've yet to see a reason not to think sexual things are icky and gross. I can sit down and indulge in some pornography every now and then. I'm not proud of it--I just concede that I'm a human being with a libido, a sexual desire, that wants to be sated. But after I'm done, I can stand back, evaluate what I just "enjoyed," and come to the conclusion that I don't actually enjoy it--I'm just biologically hard-wired to find that sort of thing stimulating. There's nothing intellectually valuable about it--it's just mindless gratification, and I don't think that sort of thing ought to be celebrated in any other medium. That's what I think. So I ask people why they think their sexual desire is worth expressing in other types of media. No one has to justify their tastes to me, and I understand that. But I still don't get it.

I respect that.I don't really have a response. That caught me off guard.I guess all I can really say is that I don't think it's the "natural order" that I'm trying to defend, exactly--but the more I think about it... That's still pretty much all I'm doing. That's what it boils down to. Huh.I'll think about what you just said. You might have just changed my philosophy a little bit. With a throwaway point you weren't fully confident with, no less.

Quote from: challengerX on December 15, 2015, 07:56:29 PMWhere's your proof for all this? It's common sense. Ask any girl what her opinion on women's representation in games is. I swear, do it.Some of them will say they don't care--they're misogynists. They betray their own gender.
