Okay, I'm not actually "done" (but I still hate the fuck out of Bayonetta)

No idea, but you were arguing against the notion that women make up almost half of the gaming population. Not against the ratio of male-female  gamers that like and play Bayonetta.
I'm arguing against the notion that women make up almost half the population of games that actually matter.

Facebook games, smart phone games, and games that don't actually contain any misogynistic content don't matter.
Because it's intuitive that a woman wouldn't play a game that exploits her gender.

Most RPG's barely dressed women. HOLY SHIT

IT'S ALMOST LIKE

YOU'RE WRONG
And any woman who is okay with that is a misogynist and gender traitor.

Imo

Someone being guaranteed that, over 100 people possibly experiencing that later in life doesn't quite weigh up

But then I do try to be optimistic

Either way, I can't say I could ever sanction someone going through that because it 'might' prevent others suffering.

I'm assuming of this variety. Unless you're seriously asking that we give you the stats regarding the male-female player ratio of every RPG out there.

Yes. Can't do it? Well, I guess we're just going to have to speculate, then.

Or we can look at actual studies that show that in general women tend to play RPGs more then men.

How so? Is it also intuitive that a man wouldn't play a game that exploits his gender? I'm not following your train of thought on this one

I probably don't count but, one of my favourite games ever is The Witcher 3 (Coincidentally an RPG), and there's definitely a lot in that game that you'd consider misogynistic. But it fits in the universe of the world and the characters display more than just sex appeal. It's also a world full of some pretty grim stuff, I'd find it more weird if that kind of stuff wasn't included. It makes sense for the game to have it, and I'm not going to scream misogyny, the game does it well. I just have a different view on sexuality, which is basically what this is boiling down to.

I don't care about "in general."

I want stats on every individual game.

Remember that it has to tailor to a very specific set of rules (that can change on a whim) as decided upon by Verbatim.

Well, yeah. I wouldn't watch a movie like Magic Mike XXL because I think Channing Tatum is a disgusting sex symbol who is used as a puppet to exploit the male gender.

When it comes to male exploitation, it's easier to use films as an example rather than games. If Magic Mike had a game, I wouldn't play it, because I consider Magic Mike to be a little bit misandric.

I won't deny that there's games out there that can play with sexuality in a way that isn't offensive, but I've just seen it happen so very little. To use another film example, I don't know if you've seen Requiem for a Dream, but towards the end, there's a very gruesome sex scene. It's not titillating at all--it's supposed to be sad and almost terrifying. And I wouldn't consider that misogynistic--and it was a necessary part of the story.

So that sort of thing is possible, but it's just very difficult.

Fallout 3 is another example. I'm not really bothered by the fact that there's women in the game who prostitute themselves--the game doesn't glorify the behavior, and it's realistic, given the setting. So are there games out there that can treat sexuality in a mature way? Yes.

It just never is. There's simply not enough games like that.

There's plenty of examples of strong and "sexy" women in videogames but boyonetta is NOT one of them

Boynetta is literally just like "here mash buttons whole this naked, disgustingly disproportional woman-like creature fights shit for what seems like no reason"

How is Bayonetta any more disgustingly disproportionate than Zero Suit Samus, R. Mika or Quiet?

As long as the sexuality is handled tastefully, it's passable. Bayonetta's is not. Samus is not.
