How many of you play Minecraft on the PC?

I'm thinking about getting the game for some of the mods but if I do that I would like people here to play with. I don't feel like getting a game that's really only fun with others when hardly anybody I know plays it. So I'm wondering how many of you still play it before I buy it.

It's a temporary binge game for me. I play it for a month a lot and build stuff I've been planning on building, then don't care to play it for another few months. Rinse and repeat.

I do from time to time, about a year ago I'd play that shit for 12 hours a day easily <_____<
Now it's a little less appealing because I burned out on it so much, Vanilla I can usually play for about two weeks to a month and I'm done. I get shit done though, I built a massive bloody hillfort on the floodian server but when it was complete I just kind of... got bored and buggered off.

Then I went back to the TerraFirmaCraft mod which is a lot of fun, a bit more challenging and indepth than vanilla but it suffers from the grind more than vanilla. Everything takes fucking forever, it's like GregTech.

The one that I really loved/enjoyed and still do, is the Tekkit and spiritual successor modpacks after Tekkit got shat on. Sadly it's all full of magic bullcrap nowadays and it gets a bit... lame...

That being said, if there are people up for playing one of the modded versions of the game like FTB (I'll be finicky over the specific pack mind you) Tekkit's weird bastard children or TFC then sure >.>

Usually there's at least one other person on.

I don't get on much, but the few times I did I couldn't get on at a time others were online.

Then again, I still keep thinking that it was late December of this year that I last played, when it was actually more like late-September/early-October, so something is clearly wrong with me.

I haven't played in ages. Although I might again just to check out how Sonic Ether's mod has come along. He's made a lot of progress on it and now he's in indie game development doing the graphics for The Forest O.O
