How is the co-op in ESO?

A friend and I wanna get it to Bro-out in Tamriel together. The squad system with quests was really broken when it came out on PC a year ago. How is it now on the new console release? Good enough to get or still broken as fuck?

It works alright but as far as I know you have to manually hit "share" on every quest that requires collecting items

And everyone in the group has to talk to every NPC involved

That's gay. No real different then Neverwinter I guess though.
