drift drift drift, literally whenever possible and for as long as possible

let bananas hang behind you for protection, never toss them forward because they're that shitty

don't get flustered when you're hit with a barrage of items, it's part of the game and it's happening to everyone else too

if you get a mushroom, never miss an opportunity to blast through offroad paths with it for little shortcuts

Grind 3 stars in all the cups by yourself as practice. I recommend using (I think) outside drifters as inside drifters become obsolete on 150cc+. If you wanna be sweaty about it, the Blue Falcon/Pipe Frame, slicks and a medium/heavy character like Link are generally considered the faster vehicle classes to go for. Or just be a complete baller and swag out with gold everything like Catzilla.

Get good at using all items to your advantage and do lots of time trials to learn the timing in mushroom boosts for certain shortcuts.

It’s not that important if you’re just looking to beat your friends and items slightly nullify its advantage, but Fire hopping is a good way to save time in races.

If you decide to 3-star all difficulties, you’ll need a lot of patience for:
-The special cup (esp. on 150/extra compared to 200)
-The Crossing cup
-The Bell cup

These 3 get some hella bullshit going on higher difficulties.

Pipe Frame is cool but for some reason I just don't use it, I prefer changing from Gold Kart to Blue Falcon to Silver Arrow and to the SL Roadster; I used the biddybuggy all the time when I first played the game but it seems slow compared to what I use now

pf is pretty much a slightly less good blue falcon I just prefer it tbh. Gold cart is pure swage™️
