never looked like it was gonna sell much in the first place. it's an uninspired shoot em up that sold itself entirely on its super edgy premise. if anything, this is the natural end of the road for this sort of game

I really don't get what the big deal about this game is when you can do the same shit in GTA. Hell GTA deserves that A rating since that game has more to it besides killing.

I think that's a reflection of how young it is as well. You don't see people demanding NC-17 movies not be shown in theaters. Most theaters even decide for themselves whether or not to let 17yo's in. Yet the second a game like hatred turns up everyone clamps down and self censors for fear of backlash. Because games are still widely viewed as children's toys, and as 'potentially dangerous' despite the scientific evidence against that.

They haven't really been normalized yet with the mainstream, and that's something that only comes with time. Like kids now a days are growing up watching minecraft on their smart phones. Hatred isn't going to scare them when they're 40.
