t4r. I know I've lost it whilst gaming plenty of times. Specifically in situations where no amount of skill can overcome the present lag/other situation. Just today, I was going for 3 stars on every cup in Mario Kart 8, where any mode above 100cc is notorious for punishing player-controlled characters, under all circumstances. On my 40th (no exaggeration, I legitimately restarted a single cup 39 times) attempt, I got down to the last race and was in a reasonable position, however, any attempt to overtake toad was met with a bump combined with an item sleight of hand (he somehow concealed his items, a feat players simply can't replicate) that resulted in me being forced to a standstill from hitting his unknown weapons on each of the 8 times we clashed during the race.

The last of these occurrences happened right on the finish line, costing me 1st place and meaning I had to repeat the entire cup again. Having spent the last several hours on the single goal of a perfect run of this cup and witnessing the same bland art style nonstop, I gave up, dropped my Gamepad to the ground and drove my heel into it with maximal force, breaking it completely (of course it was already damaged from earlier encounters too). I was pre livid tbh.

Not once have I ever gotten mad at a game or smashed my controller in frustration. It's just a game after all, I just laugh it off and try at it again.

Some of the achievements in Halo 3. I fucking swear to god. Getting a double kill with one spartan laser shot in the lone wolves playlist. Or getting a splatter with the mongoose.

I don't even want to recall how many fucking times I spent trying for those. One morning I put my tryhard tighties on and went for the spartan laser one. With every match where I got the laser and killed one person but grazed another, I steadily grew more platinum mad.

But Reach took the cake though. The only reason I played it as long as I did, was because I had friends to play it with. Once I started playing it alone, the game pissed me off more and more because of how bullshit it was along with its ass of a community.

One day I took the disk out of my drive, opened up a window, and chucked it out like a frisbee. And that was that.

Every time I fight that slimy fuck Micolash in Bloodborne and he one shots me with that BS magic attack. I think the Witches of Hemwick made me throw my controller at the wall when I fought them the first time.

Lagspikes in Chivalry irked me quite often.
But never made me ragequit or someting like that.

Though I do remember that I, as a young kid, once shut down the Playstation mid-game because I was frustrated about losing a game to my mother. Hah...

Final Fantasy XIII. Fuck every boss in that game, the frustration was real.
