Jak II Hero Mode was pretty tough.

Probably Xenoblade X because of how dull it is

Serious answer is the first Kid Icarus game on NES (but Kid Icarus Uprising on 9.0 is also really tough)

That game isn't beaten. It must be defeated.

It depends what we're defining as "hard" here. The Legend of Zelda: OoT's overall gameplay was relatively easy aside from navigating some dungeons and a few bosses, but holy fuck was it unclear where you had to go to get the fucking kokiri sword. I kept trying to play from the start to no avail, and eventually gave up and used a walkthrough. Pre annoying stuff.

Other than that, most side scrolling platformers I've played seem to be obscenely hard. I've never actually finished Xargon or Gex by myself.

Good question, I think the game that made me the most frustrated was Halo 2 on Legendary, but I was only twelve when I played it for the first time so I feel like I was objectively worse than I am now. When I beat H2 on MCC, it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered, although that probably has to do with the fact that I'm kind of a seasoned Halo player now.

OT: World at War on Veteran easily. I beat it and I was freaking proud of myself. That game took some determination to beat with those grenades.

It really made Downfall more epic and emotional.

Out of all levels you had trouble on Outskirts? I know Jackal Snipers are a pain, but that level was easy-peasy. Gravemind can eat a dick though. That first room you're in literally has no good spots to get shots on the Brutes that tear you to shreds with Carbines.

Out of all levels you had trouble on Outskirts? I know Jackal Snipers are a pain, but that level was easy-peasy. Gravemind can eat a dick though. That first room you're in literally has no good spots to get shots on the Brutes that tear you to shreds with Carbines.

Halo 3: ODST pushed me down.

Halo: Reach brought me to my knees.

Halo 4 made me LOL.

You can also skip like a third of the level if you know the jumps.

I'm pretty sure anyone on Saturday Game Night  knows that doesn't help me.

We all think that until we inexplicably go 50-0. IIRC the lobby host doesn't necessarily get host ingame either, but this may not be true for Halo 5.
